The Law Offices of Brian deBrun Welcomes Our New Associate, Cameron deBrun
The Law Offices of Brian deBrun, PLLC is very pleased to welcome a new addition to the firm. Cameron deBrun, son of Brian deBrun, was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar on August 28, 2015, and joins us as an associate attorney practicing personal injury law. Cameron got his first taste of the firm in May 2011, working as a legal intern during his summers off from the University of South Carolina. That experience seems to have settled him on a career path that had been calling him since youth.
Cameron confesses he’s dreamt of being a lawyer since he was a boy. When he was young, he hated seeing younger or weaker children being picked on by older and bigger kids. Whenever he witnessed someone being bullied, Cameron felt an urgent duty to intervene. That character trait will serve him well as a personal injury lawyer, fighting to make sure that large insurance companies don’t take advantage of injured parties. With his desire to do whatever he can to protect vulnerable people, Cameron will be a great addition to our practice.
Cameron has long emulated the lawyers in his family. In addition to his dad, Cameron’s great-uncle Ned was a partner with Gaston, Snow & Ely Bartlett, and his great-grandfather Edward Otis Proctor served as the assistant attorney general of Massachusetts and a senior partner of what is now Gaston, Snow, Beekman & Bogue. As assistant attorney general, Edward Otis Proctor won the largest monetary verdict in Massachusetts history up to that point.
Cameron deBrun is a cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a double major in history and political science and earned his Juris Doctor from the Charlotte School of Law, where he also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for outstanding performance in the study of Trademarks Law. He is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of Mecklenburg County Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, and the North Carolina Bar Association. Cameron married Moriah Kyunghe Kang on January 4, 2014.
Everyone at the firm, especially Brian deBrun, is delighted to be adding a talented associate of such good character who shares our commitment to personal service.
